A New Beginning.. and A Freebie!

Hi, everyone! It's kind of a scary day for me. But in a wonderful way! :) I just created another blog for another "addiction" I have -- craft rooms! I just LOVE collecting craft room ideas and designs so I decided to blog about my finds. No, not things I bought, silly. Just "finds" from the internet, from magazines and from fellow crafties. I hope you get a chance to drop by. I named it Beautiful Craft Spaces. I thought about naming it Beautiful Craft Rooms but I realized that most of us, me included, are not really lucky enough to have actual rooms, just corners and a few square meters of the bedroom. :) If you have a craft room or any part of it that you'd like to share, please email me, I'd love to blog about it! :) rezzhelle@yahoo.com

Here's another freebie. Enjoy this one! It'll be perfect for an any-day card or layout. :)

Thanks so much for dropping by and hope to see you at my other blog! It would be lovely to get visits from people other than me, my mum and my hubby! LOL

Additional post:
We're doing a digi freebie on the new blog, Beautiful Craft Spaces! Hope you visit!

A Layout, a Card and a Freebie!

Could a post get any better?? Well, not if it's from me. LOL So, like I said in my previous freebie post, I am going to try uploading a new freebie every time I post. I'm doing this as a simple "Thank you" to everyone who takes the time to visit my little corner in cyberspace.

First, let me share two projects I made, a layout and a card. A few weeks ago I made a baby card for my friend Joanne who was expecting her first little one. Guess what? The baby's here! And we could not decide who was the more excited, the mother or the officemates! LOL

Note: Please excuse the bad lighting. Fluorescent lights are not my favorite things when using my point-and-shoot. :(

Isn't he the cutest? We all agree he's a male version of Joanne. :)

Challenges:
Crafty Pad - circles
Sparkles Forum - anything goes
Shannon's Sentiments - anything but a card
Delicious Doodles - anything goes

I also tried making a card for this week's challenges. My mojos aren't really at their best but *shrug* I tried. *sniff*.

Challenges:
Card Cupids - use a punch
Kenny K - springtime
Crafty Emma - spring colours/image
Sketch Saturday - sketch

Delicious Doodles - anything goes
Fairy Knoll - easter/spring
Fussy and Fancy - springtime

SO let's move on to other exciting things! A FREEBIE! You know the works - click (for the original size) and save!

Thanks to everyone who responded to my poll. You asked for it, you got it. :) A simple inspirational sentiment for you all. Of course, I also considered the suggestions for A and B and I'll work on them soon!

Have fun with this one! It'll be perfect for those flower-themed cards that are all the rage these days. :)

I'll also upload a FREEBIE tomorrow which will be perfect for Mother's Day so hope you'll drop by again! You can also follow my blog so you'll know the moment another freebie is out. :)

As always, I appreciate all feedback and I thank everyone for appreciating the simple stuff I do. You're all awesome. :)

Additional post:

You guys might also want to check out my friend April's birthday candy! It's a writing set she designed herself, printed and put together in her pretty little studio, Artisan Designs. :)

Have fun and happy easter everyone!!

Happy Birthday Digi Freebie

Thank you for all the comments and encouraging words on my previous post! You guys are simply awesome. :) I got so encouraged with the feedback I got for my first digi freebies that I immediately got down to making a couple more! I hope you enjoy using these too.. I only ask that you won't sell the original images or post them as your own. :) Again, click on the images for their original sizes and save. Easy as pie. ;)

Just so you'll have more freedom in using this digi, here's a blank one for you to fill out as you wish..

So I've decided to try uploading a digi freebie every time I post a project and I'd like to know what you guys want to see next. Please remember I can't draw to save my life, though. LOL As of the moment anyway. :) Let's have a poll, shall we?

A. Love sentiments
B. More birthday and celebrations sentiments
C. Insipirational sentiments

Just those three choices for now.. It felt so fulfilling to hear you guys say that my simple sentiments will be able to help in your craft projects. Again, thank you for all the comments. :)

Digi Freebies

Hi, all!

I decided to do a little giveaway here at my blog. Just a teensy, weensy giveaway. :)

I've wanted to make my own digi sentiments for a few weeks now and I've finally found the time to try. I've been watching (and collecting) all the beautiful digistamps going around and I envy the artists' talents very much! SO since I'm in no way talented at drawing, I decided to explore using my mouse and PC instead. Hope you have fun using them. And if you have the time to let me know, I'd love to see what you did with them too!

Simply click on the images for their full sizes and save them to your computer.

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope you'll let me know what you think of my first attempt!:)

My Late Night Project

I picked up the phone and dialed our office cafe's phone number to order a cupful of good old energy-boosting coffee. It was mid afternoon and I needed something to wake my brains up.
Me: Hi, Mildred. I'd like to order a latte please.
Mildred: Coming right up! By the way, will my orders for a layout and a card be ready by tomorrow?
Me (with dignity and confidence): Yes, of course. You can pick them up in the morning.
Then to myself, "EEEEEKKK!!!! It's April 15 already?? What am I gonna do, what am I gonna do?!?!"

And so that's the reason why I had to go to bed at 2AM this morning, why I woke up and came to the office late, and why I'm such a sleepyhead today. :) I completely forgot about her 5th year anniversary gift for her boyfriend!

Naturally, I had to stick with a clean and simple theme for these projects just to be able to complete them. But I got home at around 8:30PM already and had to do a few chores after dinner so I got around to crafting a lot later than I'd hoped. Still, I'm happy to say I enjoyed the process and I even managed to fit the projects into some challenges. I used what's left of my Lily Bee papers and added in some embellies from a local craft store.

A matching layout and card set.

Mother's Day

I personally believe that a mother is God's most perfect gift to her children. And with Mother's Day coming up, I've been thinking of a meaningful way to celebrate the most wonderful mom I know --- mine of course! To each his own, ladies. :)

While my mother's day project is still in the making, I'd like to share with you guys a simple mini album I made for her birthday, in the hope that it will inspire you to make one for your mom or simply give you another option for a project.

Bought a ready-made box for the album
and avidly decorated it.

The perfect quote.

The cover page.

A perfect family picture. My mom loves our family
very much. So the rest of the album is filled with pictures
of all of us in the family and handwritten love messages.

A picture of my sister. No message yet but of course
she wrote one before we gave this to Mama.

My dad. He was really shy about writing his
message here. He knew I would post it for all the
world to see! :)

Just wanted to show how pretty this beaded flower was.
Got it from a local supply store here in the Philippines. :)

So this is her.. my beautiful, loving, selfless mom. :)
If I'll have even just a tenth of her patience and love
when I become a mom someday, I know I'll do just fine..

I hope you're getting good progress at coming up with or making your Mother's Day project. I've already started with mine, just a few finishing touches and I'll be ready to share it with the world.  If you already have one, please take time to leave a comment with a link to your blog. I'd love to see it, I'm sure it will be very lovely!

Before ending this post, I'm really thrilled to share that I was chosen as the random comment winner over at Pink Paper Paradise: Make It Monday! You could be the next winner! Simply link your creations to Pink Paper Paradise: Make It Monday (ALL paper crafts are welcome - no conditions) and leave comments in others' blogs indicating that you saw their projects in Make It Monday. Easy as pie, right? :) Oh and Michelle's doing a DT Call so you might want to check that out too.

Quirky Crafts - easter or spring-themed creation (obviously I chose spring) with something sparkly (used gems for mine) and at least one punch

A Friend (Altered Art)

Ah well.. I didn't make it to the Lily Bee Design Team. Bummer, I know. BUT there's always next year, folks! We'll definitely try again. We're going to get in that team or die trying! LOL ;) I really meant everything I said in my previous post, though. Lily Bee's products are really beautiful. And it's true that it was the first time that I was able to complete my layout without difficulty. Everything just easily came together and I just love how it turned out. So let's wait for another year and try again next time. Meanwhile, let's use the time to practice, practice, practice and practice some more. :)

Here's a simple altered item I made. It used to be a cellphone holder made of thick layered cardboard. I decided to turn it into a pen/pencil holder, covered the whole thing with patterned paper and embellished it with lace and chipboard cutouts. I made the blue flower out of circles that I cut out from a wide ribbon and finished it with a pearl at the center. It gives the project a bit more color and charm, don't you think? :)

Here are the challenges:

Craft Your Passion - anything goes
House of Gilli - ribbons and pearls
Make It Monday - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp and Show - anything but a card
Squigglefly - they're only words
I Did It Creations - anything goes
Anything Goes - make your own embellishments
The Stamping Boutique - handmade flowers
Simply Create - do it yourself

Thanks for visiting my blog today! I'm a bit sad but I do hope your mood is better than mine. :)
