A few years ago, I would have crinkled my nose at the thought of anything vintage. Why would anyone want something that looks really old and antique? Why choose something crinkly and yellowy over something bright and shiny and new? Of course, back then I would never have thought that years later I would actually meet someone who loves anything and everything vintage and that I would actually try making her a card. And you know what? I'm going to swallow my pride and say I'm one of you vintage lovers now! I'm having so much fun distressing/aging papers, combining antique colors and exploring flowers and laces! Okay, okay, and I'm also loving the antique look.
So this is for my friend, April, the oh-so-talented young lady who owns Artisan Designs Studio. We met a few months before my wedding when I ordered a personalized guestbook and some giveaways for my entourage. She posted pictures of my orders which turned out to be sooo beautiful and did a blog post of them here. And with her work, I was inspired to awaken my creative side, take out my scissors from the drawer and get crafty again! I'd have to add that I've always been a bit crafty and have been making personalized cards since I was in grade school, but I kind of hibernated when I started working. I got too caught up with the pressures of being a grown-up {if I can call me that, haha}that I forgot how liberating and happy crafting always makes me feel. So that's how I got back. April's projects are so beautiful they made me want to make my own. Oh you should visit her site. You'll definitely love it!
Okay, enough with the blabbering. Here's the card I sent her for Valentine's Day. My first attempt at going vintage and I loved it! Happy to say she loved it too.
Thanks for dropping by!

Coffee With Love
My husband adores his morning coffee. Every workday, I order coffee for both of us and our company’s café delivers them right to our respective desks. Yep, we work in the same office! J Different departments, of course.. So anyway, I’ve been trying to think of a Valentine’s gift for Ron that won’t burn a whole in my pocket (all financial resources are focused on fixing/remodeling our new home) but would still effectively communicate my gratefulness for my hubby. I figured putting a new twist to a very recurring and monotonous activity should be a good surprise. So I came up with this hand-decorated coffee cup! Ta-da!
I gave it to the café’s store manager a day before Valentine’s Day and asked her to use the cup for my hubby’s latte on February 14.
I love how the project turned out and I love the “Thank You” I got. *wink* LOL
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
P.S.
I'm really excited to say I sold some of my cards yesterday! Yipee! Hope to make and sell more in the future!

Another Thank You..
Hello! It's a Saturday again and normally, Hubby and I would just be lounging around all day watching TV. Not today, though. Today, we spent the whole day fixing stuff at our new old house. LOL It's a "something new" for us but it's already a six-year-old house. Yes, we finally have our very own place to call "Home". And hopefully my own space to call "My Craft Area"! haha Of course, we still have a LOT of fixing to do. Tomorrow won't be any less exhausting than today but that's all part of the game. No pain, no gain I'd say!
So on to crafting. Sharing with you another Thank You card I made a few days ago. I was actually wondering how to use my paper scraps when I had an idea to make my version of a "paper strips" card. I think it's perfect for that someone who has stood by us through good times and bad! :)
I need to get a good night's rest to prep up for our battle against dust and grime tomorrow! Gross, I know, I know.
'Til the next post!

360
Sharing another layout I made at ScrapBlog. I'm sooo loving the free printable image downloads! This one's for my lovely family. The picture was taken at the end of the cable car ride at Ngong Ping 360 in HongKong. It was our first out-of-the-country trip and a very memorable one for all of us.. Hope you like this one!
Thanks and have a great day!
