Christmas Card Ideas and FREE Digis!

Sharing some handmade Christmas card ideas and Free Digis!

Hello all! I know you guys are still quite busy preparing for Halloween but I hope you won’t mind if I take a step forward and be in the Christmas spirit to share some handmade Christmas card ideas. J I love, love, love the Christmas season! Everything is so beautiful and of course, we don’t call it “the season of giving” for nothing.

So I’ve started making handmade Christmas cards to give to loved ones. Allow me to share a bit about who this set is for.

To Granny, With Love

My granny has been one of the most important figures in my life. For as long as I can remember, I cannot recall any instance when I didn’t have her support.  Back when I was in grade school, she cheered me on during quiz bees, rehearsed speeches with me and was always, always part of the audience whenever I got demented and joined dance presentations and contests (Nope, I wasn’t good at it). Haha All throughout high school and college, her love and support has always been there. Even now that I’ve grown up, moved out of home and gotten married, and even now that she’s moved to the US to live with my aunt and uncle and the last time I saw her was when I got married last year, we still talk on the phone and update each other frequently. She sends me lots of stuff that she knows I would need for starting a family PLUS she sends me lots and lots of stamps, designer papers and embellishments! I told you she was supportive. J She’s the best.

My Granny

So to celebrate her and everything she’s been in my life, I decided to send her a pack of handmade Christmas cards to give to friends and family for the holidays. I know it’s not much but she has constantly sent me crafting supplies but never seen any of my projects (She and the internet are not really good friends). This would be a good start, right? And of course, I'm sharing these Christmas card ideas (can't get enough of those!).

Christmas Card Ideas

I call it the Peppermint Sparkle Christmas Card Collection. Tongue twister, eh? It’s named that because I used papers, graphics and sentiments from the Lettering Delights Peppermint Holiday Collection and because I added rhinestones to each and every card for added sparkle. The Peppermint Holiday Collection is gorgeous and I think I had the most hassle-free card-making session ever! PLUS, it’s Dollar Days for lots of holiday-themed sets including this one! This means that almost everything is on sale for only $1!! I took advantage of the opportunity because based on what I've heard, this only happens twice a year! :)

Hurry, sale ends 10/31/2011      Sale: $1.00 per set

I love and recommend all the sets I bought but if I had to choose just one, I'd pick the Peppermint Holiday Expressions for its versatility. You can use them for card-making, scrapbooking, altered art and any other paper craft project that comes to mind! :)

Hurry, sale ends 10/31/2011       $4.00 sale: $1.00

In the spirit of sharing, let me leave you now with a new set of digistamps that I made a few days ago in the hopes that you will find some handmade Christmas card ideas for them. :) I'd love to see what you make and I hope you'll link up! :) Thank you for everyone who left comments on my previous freebies! You make me want to make lots and lots more! You're all awesome..

Okay. So you know the works: click on the images for their full size and then save.
